With the NBA’s tectonic plates in a massive drift over the past 12 months, people were beginning to wonder if the Thunder could remain relevant, and furthermore, if it would be enough to convince Russell Westbrook to sign an extension with the franchise. Mere hours before free agency was to begin, Sam Presti shocked the league by acquiring the Pacers’ all-star Paul George in exchange for Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis.
